Rolling Deadline
Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Promise Scholarship: Everyone can get $$$ regardless of family income, but act fast as it's first come, first serve! Students who are not eligible for financial aid (determined by FAFSA) are eligible to receive a $1400 Promise Scholarship ($700 Fall; $700 Spring); Students that are eligible for financial aid (determined by the FAFSA) may also be awarded a $400 book voucher to the bookstore ($200 semester). The California-Hawaii Elks Association is offering Vocational Grant (up to $2000) for Technical and Vocational Training of your choice. Deadline is 3-6 months before you start your coursework and applications are available online (http://www.CHEA-Elks.org/Yout-Activities/Scholarships)

Due in January
The American Legion Post 133 Huntington Beach would like to invite 9th-12th graders to compete in the 81st Oratorical Contest to win up to $18,000! The contest will consist of a 7-10 minute speech about the United States Constitution. A second 3-5 minute speech will be on one of the 4 amendments: Amendment 1, 4, 13, or 21. The local competition will be held on January 26, 2019 at the Central Park Senior Center in Huntington Beach and finalists will move to the regional and national level. The Wall POV Project presents the Willow Tree Scholarship for graduating seniors in Orange County. Students must have a minimum of 3.0 overall GPA, submit an essay addressing the following prompt “Describe a situation when you’ve experienced or witness adversity, and how did it affect your decision or goal of pursuing higher education,” and intend to attend a 2 or 4 year college after graduation. Students can apply online at www.thewallpovproject.org and win $1000. The deadline is January 25.



Due in February
The Shui Kuen & Allen Chin Scholarship is available to seniors who work/worked at or are children of parents who work/worked at an Asian or Asian Cuisine Restaurant.  Two $1000 awards are available for students with financial need. The application is due February 26, 2019 and complete eligibility requirements can be found at http://asianpacificfund.org/what-we-do/scholarships/apply-for-scholarship/#chin Apply online!

STEM Seniors who are at least 50% Filipino are eligible to apply for the Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund. Five renewable awards of $5000 (annual) will be awarded to seniors with financial need. *Note: Students pursuing health careers are ineligible. The deadline is February 26, 2019. If you’re at least 50% Asian heritage and a first generation college student, you’re eligible to apply for the Asian Pacific Fund Scholarship. There are two-three awards ranging from $2500-$5000 for students who are residents of California (with preference given to students living in the Bay Area). The deadline is February 26, 2019 and the application can be found online at http://asianpacificfund.org/what-we-do/scholarships/apply-for-scholarship/#apf  

The Doyle Foundation, Inc. Scholarship application for the 2019-2020 school year is now available online at https://doylefound.org/scholarships/applications/ for seniors with financial need. The application will be available from November 1, 2018 thru February 1, 2019 ONLY and applicants should complete their FAFSA application as the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) is a required part of the scholarship application.

The 2019 My Dream Career Photo Competition is now open. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $150. Last year’ winner was an FVHS student! Deadline is Friday, 2/15 at 5pm and for all official rules and registration please contact Neda Arab at neda@vitallinkoc.org  

WACE, on behalf of the nine WACE Partner Institutions, is pleased to announce and sponsor its Seventeenth Annual National Co-op Scholarship Program. As the largest independently sponsored merit co-op scholarship program in the United States, WACE will award up to 160 merit co-op scholarships for a total value of $4,200,000. These merit co-op scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to participate in college cooperative education at one of our Partner Institutions listed on the Scholarship Partners tab. Due in March
Seniors who have a cumulative gpa of 3.2 and are Roman Catholic and of Italian Descent can enter The Italian Catholic Federation scholarships. There are two scholarship opportunities due by March 15, 2019. For more information please visit https://www.icf.org

The Junior League of Orange County is accepting complete email applications (no hard copies) for high school seniors. The scholarship will be worth up to $4000 and the the deadline is March 1, 2019.  More information can be found here https://www.jlocc.org/community/scholarships/

Due in April
Golden West College (GWC) has more than 25 scholarships available for seniors to win! Students must complete the scholarship application in the link below, enroll in at least 12 units at at GWC for Fall 2019, and apply for FAFSA or Dream Act.The deadline is April 19 at 5:00pm.
